Reading: On the Spline

This article provides a detailed narrative on the evolution of the curvilinear design. It seems that the spline design becomes an inevitable tendency of the development of architectural forms. Lacking finite dimensions is challenging yet fascinating because people tend to believe that it is an expression towards perfection. Yet while everyone is worshiping this universal language, I think the finite dimensions still worth attention because otherwise how would the curvilinear design to “be free from forms”? In that case, merging them together is what I believe a perfect design.
